Paul WindleManaging Director - Stylist
I have spent my working life developing haircutting skills.
The haircut is the foundation for any hairstyle.
I began my career teaching these skills at a world famous academy then later moved on to open Windle London.
The journey to understand what makes a great haircut is never ending.
That said the connection and understanding between hairstylist and client is equally as important as skill.
For this reason I spend a lot of time at the beginning consultation finding out how my clients feel about their hair, plus their aspiration and vision for the cut.
As much as I believe in the skill with the scissors I believe in the skill of listening!
Jean-Marc had a colourful youth spent in France but moved to London in his early twenties. He has been hairdressing for 25 years and experienced many strands of the industry before committing to Windle in 2004.
Growing up surrounded by women very self-assured about their fashion style, he encourages his clients to find confidence to experiment with their own self-image.
“I have real affection for my clients, and I communicate with them honestly but in a considerate manner.
I understand hair like a material so I try to create flattering hairstyles achieved as effortlessly as can be done with your particular texture and thickness, all the while offering gentle advice about work, love and life when prompted…”
Jean-Marc is a uniquely attentive hairdresser, he listens to what you want and will offer suggestions and alternatives but always defers to what feels right for you.
A visit to Windle and Jean-Marc is always relaxing, energising and a boost to self-confidence.
