Living in Bristol, I need some major heat, wind and humidity insurance. Windles is the only hairspray I use. It is more of a finishing spray, ie: it has a slightly crisp finish. But it's brush-able. You can comb your fingers through it if needed. If a stray strand needs replacing, I can redo that area with ease. My hair style is somewhat natural--I like some shape, but want my hair to move, swing, look natural. This spray does that for me, in every type of weather. This stuff layers beautifully without a big build-up. On humid days, or when you want to hold a curl/style, use more spray, and you still won't have helmet-head.
