‘Technology is changing our world. Even hairdressing! I started my career in education with a world leading education company that revolutionised how we learn hairdressing. As teacher and later Principal, I spent 7 years figuring out how best to teach hair.
Although useful, I do not believe that someone can truly learn to be a great hairdresser watching large seminars or online tutorials. For that reason, we offer the London Intensive Immersion.
The main aim of our education is to improve what I call visual intelligence, to look and understand what makes a great image. Technique is a vital part of this visual process but should always be seen as a tool and not the end destination. Art, music, cinema, architecture, new technology, and the urban environment operate to inform innovative creativity. Therefore, the professionals of our craft rediscover the old to influence the new. So, let us go on a visual journey to show how Windle London initiates true visual inspiration.
We take very small groups and immerse them in our London culture. Demonstration and one- on- one’s are the main content of the course. I am personally involved with every visitor. Over a cup of tea or two, we have a discussion on creativity and what I choose to call ‘visual intelligence’. This is accompanied by inspiring visits to the great parts of our city.
Please look out for our road show and workshop dates.
Our ambition is to recreate a US version in the very near future.
My humble thanks to all who care to join us on our journey. Let’s bring retail back to the most important influencers ever. The hairdressers.’
Here is a sample of schedule for our London Intensive course.

Day 3: CREATE CONCEPT HAIRSTYLES
Learn about visual intelligence and how to make observations, and draw/utilise references in your hairdressing work. Art galleries, museums, books, magazines, buildings, shops and street markets are ideal locations to pick up ideas, inspire one’s knowledge of shape and form, and develop them into concept hairstyles for high fashion.
In this session, you will take a trip to a gallery/museum or a current event in the heart of London, and research a piece of creative work. You will use this inspiration to create highly creative looks, working with hair pieces, accessories or other art materials. The day will end having creative discussion with Paul Windle over Tea.
Paul will then take you by London bus to discover the history and creativity of East London. Rounded off with a drink in an old pub!
