“So often I read beauty bloggers and the negativity is only marginally more readable than the appalling grammar and lack of imagination that goes into the articles themselves. When individual tastes are so fantastically personal, I have no interest in exploring anything other than the celebratory existence of products which have often been so painstakingly perfected by their inventors, whether it’s a shampoo or a car, it has to be perfect, and if it is, I will shout about it.”
David began his career seven years ago working as a sales assistant and product specialist at the luxury department store Harrods in Knightsbridge. Spending eight hours a day surrounded by the ‘Rolls Royce’ of product in every category known to man gave him a unique appreciation for how these items could justify their equally ‘Rolls Royce’ price tag. Each and every time their customers discovered their own justifications. Perhaps with the product design. Or With their uniquely hand crafted materials unparalleled in quality, or the fairy tail stories which gave birth to them in the first place. After leaving Harrods to a high-tech skincare brand as a brand and product specialist, David realised that this unique and aspirational product exists all around us and at prices which we can all enjoy (or at least more realistically save up for) and this was David’s inspiration for the SUIT & SPLENDOUR brand. A unique guide for any style-conscious man showcasing the best of the best. Where luxury does not take form of monetary value. Products to inspire. Products to excite, and products to change the way we feel and live our lives.
